Stonewall Philly Hardship Assistance Program

To increase player access to join a league for individuals experiencing financial and economic duress, we are introducing our Hardship Assistance program. Consideration and eligibility will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and funds will be allocated as budgeted per league season. 

Applicants should only be registering for 1 activity per season to have eligibility and to remain in good standing. The maximum number of approved assistances per calendar year is two.

Provided information is confidential and only reviewed by the Stonewall Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access Committee.

Where do I apply?

Applications can be submitted here during open application periods. 

If the form is currently closed, please email and we will email you when the next fee waiver application round opens. 

Any abuse of this program will result in the cancelling of approved credits up to expulsion from the league

Who is eligible to apply for a fee waiver or assistance?

Returning and new players are eligible to apply for a fee waiver/assistance.

When can I apply?

The Fee Waiver/Assistance Program application period opens 3 weeks prior to general registration. The deadline to apply is 1 week after the beginning of general registration.

Is my information private?

Yes, the information provided in your application will only be viewed by select members of the Stonewall Philly Board for eligibility and financial determination.

Only highly aggregated and anonymous data will be shared for budgeting purposes and is not stored for more than one calendar year.

How long does it take to receive a decision?

Applicants should expect to receive a decision within 3 business days after application submission. Be sure to check your registered Leagueapps email for the financial determination.

There are one of three decisions applicants will receive:

  • Granted requested amount

  • Application denied; [Season] budget exhausted

  • Application denied; received after deadline

If eligible, a credit will be applied to your Leagueapps account for the specified league. Detailed instructions will be included in your financial determination email.

How many times can I receive a fee waiver or assistance?

As of the launch of this program, applicants are eligible to receive a grant for 1 league per season, with a maximum of 2 grants per calendar year.

We will continue to review the impact of this program and accordingly revise terms.

My application was denied. Now what?

As with any financial assistance program, budgets and deadlines are crucial.
