Join Stonewall Sports-Philadelphia for an introduction to salsa dance at Urban Movement Arts! All skill levels are welcome in this queer-friendly activity! 💃🕺

A personal dance instructor from UMA will teach us fundamental salsa movements and techniques, building upon them to create dynamic combinations. Class space is limited to 50 people and will be on a first come, first serve basis. You’ll only need to register through us for this private dance event! Any proceeds made from the event will be donated to COLOURS Organization. Check out other ways that Stonewall Sports Philadlephia supports our Philly LGBTQIA+ community.

WHAT IS URBAN MOVEMENT ARTS?
Prepare to groove and move at Urban Movement Arts! UMA’s line up of classes are primarily based in contemporary Black American folkloric dance, African folkloric dance, Latin American dance and contemporary somatic and movement culture practices. UMA is a proud ambassador of many dance forms that fall into the category of Black American Folklore. You can expect a high-energy atmosphere filled with infectious beats and positive vibes. We'll challenge you to push your boundaries while providing a supportive and inclusive environment where you can feel confident to explore your creativity. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or a complete novice, join us for an empowering dance experience that'll leave you feeling confident, energized, and ready to express yourself through movement.

Cost:
$15 for Stonewall Members
NOTE: Closed toe shoes required! Recommended to wear sneakers or other sports shoes.

Other Notes/First Timers:
-- Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, and supportive footwear suitable for dancing.
